| IDEA 3 FP
Foot pocket version. The foot pocket forms one body with
the blade, transmitting to it the full stroke effort,
while retaining all the necessary comfort requirements.
The IDEA3's variable geometry, gives a
concave shape during the down-stroke,
producing a "scoop" effect. The water is
trapped and channelled, maximising
propulsive thrust and preventing lateral
side-slipping of the fin. During the negative recovery action of the up-stroke
the end of the blade, which is very flexible, is free
to bend and so reduces its surface and the effort required. |
